Fisher College Hires New Project Director

(BOSTON, MA l July 18, 2012) – Fisher College is pleased to announce the recent hire of Nadia Alam as Project Director of the Office of the President.

Ms. Alam, from Newton, MA, brings more than 12 years of experience in education and research to Fisher College. As Project Director of the Office of the President, her responsibilities include conducting research and preparing reports for the President, serving as an ambassador of the College by fostering and cultivating relationships, and acting as a liaison between the President and College employees and community members. Most recently employed as Associate Director for Research and Special Projects at the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Ms. Alam gained a great deal of experience in the education sector. Prior to that, she held employment as an English-as-a-Second-Language Teacher at Kaplan Workplace ESL, and served as an English Language Teacher in rural Japan.

Ms. Alam is an accomplished writer who has been published in the New England Journal of Higher Education, the Journal of the New England Board of Higher Education, and INDIA New England. She has also been a presenter at the New England Association of Schools & Colleges Annual Meeting and Conference and the Comparative & International Education Society Annual Conference. Ms. Alam earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and North American Studies from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and her Master of Education in International Education Policy from Harvard University.
