On Thursday, September 20, at 6 p.m., join The Mary Baker Eddy Library as we celebrate our tenth anniversary, and ten years in the community, with an evening of music, food, and innovative ideas!
Acclaimed director Peter Sellars will take the floor to share his thoughts on the vital importance of the arts in society today, the gaps left by our current educational system, and a path for non profits such as the Library to fill this need.
The Library will host a catered reception before the talk featuring performances by Project STEP, a Boston-based organization that prepares musically gifted African-American and Latino students for careers in classical music. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., reception begins at 6 p.m., Peter Sellars will take the floor at 7 p.m.
