Asta to Open With Progessive Menu & 'At Home' Feel

The new restaurant is being opened by Shish Parsigian of Hi-Rise Bread and Alexander Crabb, sous chef at L'espalier.

Café 47 on 47 Mass. Ave. is being transformed into a new progressive food restaurant with an exciting twist.

Co-owners Shish Parsigian of Hi-Rise Bread Company in Cambridge,  and Alexander Crabb, who served as the sous chef at L'espalier, have plans for three, five and eight-course meals that will range from simple and affordable, to daring and delicious.

The idea is to offer a relaxed, casual environment that feels like “your kitchen away from home” with a refined menu full of creative dishes, Parsigian said.

Asta, which stands for Alex and Shish Taste Adventure, will hopefully be open by September. The restaurant will seat about 45, and will serve dinner only, from 5:30 – 10 p.m. Eventually they plan on adding a Sunday brunch.
