Biker Struck by Car on Mass Ave.

He was hit by a man making a left-hand turn from Marlborough Street, and suffered scrapes and bruises.

A man was struck by a car around 4:10 p.m. while riding his bike on Mass Ave. He suffered minor injuries and was transported to Beth Israel Hospital.

The victim, who hasn't been identified, was hit by an older gentleman taking a left-hand turn from Marlborough Street.

"It was more of a collision," said Sgt. Eddie Gillespie at the scene.

A witness, T.J. Renison of Connecticut, pulled over to make sure the victim was okay.

"I just saw him in the air," Tenison said. The man was "contorted" when he landed on the ground, Tenison said, but he only sustained "scrapes and bruises" Gillespie said.
