Not only does Boston Magazine think Brookline is one of the best places to live (per their 2011 list), but they also thought it was one of the best places to eat last year. 

This year, La Morra is back in the magazine's 50 Best Restaurants list. And, their tip for true insiders is that diners can ask for their pasta to be gluten-free.

Through a series of charts and data, the Magazine broke their list down, and determined that of their 50 candidates, 22 percent (i.e., 11) serve Italian food. Of the 50, 2 percent are in Brookline (i.e., La Morra). 

Earlier this year, Boston Magazine also listed twelve Brookline businesses bringing home Best of Boston awards for 2012.

Brookline Restaurant Featured In Boston Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants Issue

A Brookline restaurant has made it in to Bostonmagazine’s respected list of top eateries in Boston in their November issue.

Boston magazine’s expert staff visited hundreds of restaurants in and around Boston to present readers with a list of the absolute best restaurants the Boston area has to offer, be it high-end, casual, veteran or upstart dining.

Brookline’s own La Morra was included in this year’s list. La Morra serves up Northern Italian Cuisine within its rustic, brick-exposed walls. The owners Jeff and Jen Ziskin studied food and wine in the Piedmont region of Italy before bringing their expertise to Brookline. Using a Tuscan style wood grill they create porcini and prosciutto meatballs and smoky bruschetta as well as Gluten-free pastas.
