Christmas Morning Break In Reported on Newbury Street

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department.

 

Boston Police responded to a report of a commercial alarm on Newbury Street at 6:26 a.m. on December 25.

When officers arrived at 273 Newbury Street, they found the front basement window grate had been removed and the window was missing, The lock on the front had been smashed and the door leading to the residential apartments was open as well.

Officers called in a K-9 Unit to search the scene, but no suspects were found in the building. The owner of the store came and reported that an Apple computer valued at $2,500 was missing. The owner said that he had surveillance video available and would provide it to the detectives.

This investigation is ongoing.
