Readers have spoken, and City Sports has been named the best sports shop in Back Bay.

The Boylston Street store received 36 percent of the vote, with Marathon Sports coming up as a close second with 27 percent.

Last year City Sports retargeted its clothing line toward "city athletes" featuring stylish gear with a more streamlined fit - at Target-like prices that won't break the bank. 

"There's the idea that you can take a yoga class in these clothes, and go meet your girlfriends for brunch," said Michael Mosca, vice president of merchandising, said last May.
