Fairmont Copley Celebrates 100th Anniversary
The historic hotel has a packed schedule of events and deals leading up to it's Aug. 19 anniversary.
The Fairmont Copley Plaza celebrates its centennial this year, and has planned 100 days of events, tours, packages and a ribbon cutting ceremony leading up to the Aug. 19 anniversary milestone.

Built in 1912 on the original site of the Museum of Fine Arts, together with Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library, the hotel is one of the architectural jewels of Copley Square. It was designed by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, architect of The Copley Plaza’s sister hotel, The Plaza in New York.
The historical hotel will also debut more than $20 million in restorations that includes a rooftop health club, the new Oak Room restaurant and Oak Bar, a lower lobby meeting space and enhancements to the grand lobby and ballrooms.
“The Fairmont Copley Plaza is poised at one of the most exciting times in its history,” said Paul S. Tormey, regional vice president and general manager. "Scheduled for completion in spring 2012, our renovation will ensure that The Fairmont Copley Plaza begins its next century of service shining more brightly than ever before.”
