Fashion Designer Nara Paz, Referred to as the 'Oscar De La Renta of Boston' Featured in Trunk Show at Matsu Boutique
Stop by Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. to see what she has in your size.
Matsu Boutique, at 264 Newbury Street, will host a trunk show Wednesday featuring fashion designer Nara Paz, who's been referred to as the 'Oscar De La Renta of Boston.'
Paz, a Brazilian native, is known for her unusual textiles, luxurious fabrics and her extreme attention to detail. Her designs have an exotic flair and are distinctively different because of her level of artisanship. She is without a doubt, a high-end designer who has dressed Senator Scott Brown's wife, Gayle Huff, for the White House Christmas Ball as well as an 'E Entertainment Hostess' for the Academy Awards this year.
"I want to be known as someone who designs clothing with a high value that a discerning woman would wear," Paz said. "A woman who has a sense of who they are so that I can bring out the best in her."
The Matsu Boutique, trunk show, "For the Real You 2011" runs from 4 - 8 p.m.
Up until recently, Paz's high end fashion clothing has been available only as custom-made pieces ordered for private clients. But with a lot of hard work, after graduating with a degree in fashion design and production from Lasell College in Newton in 2009, Paz has been caught in a whirlwind of fashion shows, special events and trunk shows.
Thanks to her fast emerging notoriety in the fashion design arena, she's become 'the new girl in town.' So stop by Matsu on Wednesday to see what she has in your size.

Wow! It is a thrill to see someone (Amy Nachbar) write an article that helps to emphasize Boston's continuing reputation as a fashion center. I will stop in Matsu's shop and check out what all the buzz is about.
