Five Things: Adopt a Pet at Audreys and More on May 20
Adopt a pet, hidden garden tour, win a fitness challenge, French book sale, fog and thunder.
1. Audrey's Pet Supply has teamed up with the Boston Animal Rescue League for a special adoption event, where the store will showcase eight cats and four dogs who are looking for a new home. People who adopt a cat or dog will also receive 10 percent off their entire purchase of food and supplies. And, be sure to check out our Pet of the Week column on Saturdays.
2. Gardens are still pretty in the rain, especially the ones on display during yesterday's Hidden Gardens Tour that drew hundreds to Beacon Hill. Check out the beautiful photo gallery here.
3. Win four weeks with some hardcore fitness trainers. We've teamed up with Ultimate Bootcamp for a new advertising promotion where we'll give away a free fitness program to someone who can embrace the challenge. More info here.
4. The French Cultural Center and Library is having a book sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Prices start at $1. Très bien.
5. Weather: Foggy in the morning, and showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, with a high of 64. But, it looks like the sun will start to peek out over the weekend.
