Happy Hanukkah!

Five things to know on Tue, Dec. 20.

1. Not quite as cold as yesterday. Today will be sunny with a high near 37, and a low around 25. Wednesday brings showers, and a bit of a warmup.

2. Happy Hanukkah! The Jewish holiday begins at sunset, ends at sunset on Wednesday, December 28.

3. If you're looking for cultural activities during the upcoming holiday, you could do worse than taking in "Degas and the Nude" at the MFA. Runs through Feb. 5. Still not convinced? Here's a clip of chanteuse Amanda Palmer, who knows something about overexposure, visiting the exhibit.

4. A little out of the town… but who needs underwear from a vending machine? The Boston Herald reports that a new vending machine at South Station distributes a number of garments, including underwear.

5. Scruffy, a small, energetic dog who’d be great in an apartment, was featured Sunday as our “Pet of the Week.” For more information on Scruffy, including how to adopt him, click here.
