Last Chance: Register Your Kid For Monday's 'KidsJam' At Berklee

The three events on April 9th are designed to get younger kids active and engaged with music.

(Hundreds of events are posted on Back Bay Patch each week, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed? Each week Back Bay Patch will give you a quick reminder about an event, an important sign-up, or a looming deadline you won't want to forget.)

Monday's "KidsJam" features experienced children's music performers offering 3 different sessions of entertainment and musical education for kids.  Patch has been told that registration for the 11:30 session is almost full -- near to be being closed -- so parents interested in that should act quickly; but, besides that, there's plenty of room in the other sessions.

Info and text provided by Berklee College Of Music:

11:30-12:00pm - Debbie and Friends Performance
Join us for a great session of music making and movement with Grammy-winning artists, Debbie and Friends. The show is ideal for ages 4-6, but appropriate and open to ages 0-8.  We can accept registration for a maximum of 100 people.  Please include adults and siblings in the registration numbers. This is a free event, open to participants beyond the KidsJam community, so feel free to invite your friends and family to join us!

2:00-2:40pm - Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer Class
A special preschool class with Grammy-winning artists, Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer! This class is specially-designed for four- to five-year-old children who have not yet entered kindergarten.  Children must register and give date of birth, as the material will be focused on preschoolers. We can accept a maximum of 20 children for this event, so please register early!

3:00-3:40pm - Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer Performance
Join us for a special interactive performance with Grammy-winning artists, Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer. All ages are welcome!  We can accept registration for a maximum of 100 people.  Please include adults and children in the registration numbers.

All the events will take place at Berklee’s Cafe 939 located at 939 Boylston St. For the two performances listed above, we ask you to please limit stroller use, if possible, as we do not have storage space for them. We appreciate your help with this. Students who register for the 2pm class are welcome to stay for the 3pm. There may be some overlap in content, but the 3pm session is a performance, so it will have a distinctly different feel and approach than the 2pm session.

To register, email KIDSJAM@BERKLEE.EDU.
