Work for America? Let's see at Bain he sent jobs overseas, parked his money in off shore bank accounts, and flies the flag of the Cayman Islands on his yacht. He's a traitor! God Bless President Obama FOUR MORE YEARS!

So Gene, you're saying that since Obama sent jobs overseas it's okay since he did it while being president? And that since he has money parked off shore it's also okay since he's a Democrat? I don't understand why it's okay for one and not the other.

Mitt wasn't even smart enough to register in one of the swing states he owns a house in. Man just cast a futile ballot for himself.

The president does not send jobs over seas. Private companies do. Nice try though. Better luck next time.

Anyone who has money in a 401k or Ira most likely has money invested overseas. Be nice to have president in office so that we can have some money to invest anywhere !!!!!

It's amazing while driving in N Reading you see Romney, Brown, Ryan etc. Cross the line into Reading and it's all about Obama, Biden, Warren, Tierney. Well I think it's time to go vote the latter and get ready to move to Reading.

2:54 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2012
Yep, it's true: Obama has some money in the Cayman Islands and some Chinese invenstments.
So, let's look at those investments: As an Illinois state senator for 10 years, he was included in a state pension fund that is controlled by an administrative board -- the General Assembly Retirement System. Like all other state employees, he has no direct control over those funds, some of which are indeed invested offshore. You can view the disclosure form here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/president_obama_2011_oge_form_278_certified.pdf
Romney, on the other hand, actively created offshore accounts to shield both his direct Bain compensation and his indirect 401(k) monies, as well as created shell corporations to shield Bain entities from scrutiny. Neither move is illegal.
After the election, regulators may look more closely at Romney's use of offshore accounts for redirected carried interest income. Read about that here: http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/2012/08/investigating-mitt-romney-offshore-accounts

I'm very unhappy that the current voting system deprives us of the right to a secret ballot. The little cubicles in which we mark our ballots are far from private, the folders ("privacy shields") given to supposedly hide the ballot while walking from there to the place where we submit our ballots don't even cover the entire ballot - and most voters don't even bother to use them - and it's impossible to submit the ballot without making at least some of one's choices visible.

In this and in all elections I find it funny and no so much at the same time the fact that 1 side will lie/stretch the truth/exaggerate and then will scream and shout when the other side does the same thing. Both sides do it. The worst part no matter what side most are on, they believe their own lies while not believing the other sides truths because they are on one side. And it goes both ways. I wonder what an honest campaign would look like. My guess is that I will never know.
Mike
3:20 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2012
Joe, I completely agree with you. This is not how it should work, with huge money on both sides funding misinformation campaigns that spin the truth until it gets dizzy and falls over. This was the saddest, ugliest campaign I've ever seen -- even down to the state and local level.

No worries, if Obama is re-elected, he will spend the first year and a half of his term complaining about the mess the previous POTUS left for him to clean up. Oh wait....
