Lululemon Opens March 16 on Newbury
It's more than simply selling clothes. The store is about connecting people who live healthy and active lifestyles.
Lululemon, known for selling high-end athletic clothing, espeically when it comes to yoga wear, is ramping up for a new store opening March 16 on 337 Newbury St. Check out their Facebook Page.
This will be second the Boston location - in addition to the one in the Prudential Center. Yet with a community approach to marketing and a committment to keeping things local, they will have very different vibes, said Amanda Casgar
area community manager for the eastern region.
"What does the community in this neighborhood feel like?" she asked.
The staff at Lululemon go beyond simply selling athletic apparell. The store will host events, offer a running club, and plans to reach out to neighborhood gyms and fitness centers in the Back Bay to promote a healthy lifestyle.
With a company motto to elevate the world from mediocrity to greatness "It's about who we are as leaders," Casgar said.

Leigh Trombley will move from the Natick location to manage the store on Newbury.
"I'm just really excited to open a new space," she said. "It's the next natural extension of our brand in Boston.
The Prudencial Center location has been succesfful, and there's enough support and enthusiasm to support another store in the city, Trombley said.
With more than 160 stores world-wide, this will be the 6th store in the Boston region, which in addition to the one at the Prudential Center includes Natick, Burlington Dedham and Hingham locations.
Lululemon was founded in 1998, "when yoga was not as pervasive as it is now," Trombley said.
"We're in a great growth period," she said.
In additon to yoga clothing and gear, Lululemon also sells products geared toward running, ballet and commuter biking.
