Officers responded to a report of an assault and battery at 1 a.m. on December 17.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who was visibly bleeding from the nose and shaken up. The victim stated that the suspect had beaten her up and left the apartment. They had had an argument, which had turned violent and the suspect left the apartment afterwards.

Officers located the suspect on the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge heading towards Cambridge. They arrested Peter Schick of 405 Marlborough Street and charged him with assault and battery.
