Transit Police have sent out an alert that they are looking for a man suspected of knocking another rider unconscious.

The incident took place June 16 at Forest Hills Station. A man who police believe to be 22 told a 55-year-old he would steal his girlfriend, according to police reports. The younger man then punched the older man above his right eye. The blow knocked out the 55-year-old.

After the alleged assault the 22-year-old and a companion left the station via the lower bus way (toward Washington Street). Here are the descriptions provided by police:

  • Companion — 20-year-old white man, 5'7", with long, wavy blond or brown hair. He was wearing a baseball cap, dark T-shirt and cargo shorts.
