Man Robbed While Camping Out for Air Jordans

Back Bay police logs from Thu, Feb. 16 - Mon, Feb. 20.

A man who was camping outside Niketown Saturday night waiting for Air Jordan sneakers that were released when the store opened was robbed at gunpoint by two men.

The victim reported the two men approached him earlier in the evening, asked what people were waiting for how much the shoes cost ($160). They returned later and said, "Don't act suspicious and empty your pockets" and pulled what the victim believed was a black gun from his front pocket.

He handed over $32 and an iPod, and the suspects fled up Newbury toward Mass Ave.
