Poll: Should We Fine Free Butterfingers?

An internet company faces a fine for the pile of candy they left in Copley Square yesterday.

Pawngo, an internet pawn shop, wanted to make a statement about Wes Walker's catching ability yesterday.

As Universalhub reports, the company dumped 900 pounds of Butterfinger candy bars in Copley Square yesterday and left a sign saying "Thank you, Wes Walker."

Many eager passers-by were seen grabbing Butterfingers, but not everyone was so pleased.  At least two citizens made complaints via the City of Boston website, and the City will be issuing a fine for commercial dumping, which Universalhub says is up to $1,000.

So, Back Bay, is this an injustice or Pawngo's just desserts?  Vote and leave a comment!

They dumped but no one had to clean, right? Can you really fine someone for making a dumb joke just because the joke was on you?
