Considering we're not robots, we're allowed to have opinions. Having an opinion doesn't change what topics we cover in the least. I am sure there are lot of people who'd actually prefer to know the editor's opinions on a given topic.

At most, she's guilty of trolling the Patch readership. BTW - I'm an Obama supporter and I don't care for the sign or that flavor of political messaging. It's boring.

This billboard ad is a blatant attempt to be inflammatory and solicit news stories (which you granted) ... and it honestly makes you question whether Romney has cheated on his marriage? Rick, I don't see how asking people what they think about a local controversy is at all like "undercover campaigning."

I thought the real issue here would be "freedom of speech/censorship" versus what is "factually accurate" since the billboard clearly implies false information, as I noted in my first comment. Does the advertiser have the right to say what she wants, or does she have a responsibility to present the truth?

Additionally, I will add "billboard critic running amok" to my list of most interesting personal attacks I've received so far in my career. So thanks!

Hey David, If there was a similar billboard controversy about Obama in Boston (maybe a hospital ad/birth certificate joke that was taken down?) we also would have reported on it. It's a local angle to a national conversation. That's what we aim to do here at Patch, get local conversations going - not "sway" an election one way or another. But thanks for sharing your opinion.

I'll have to take your word for it that you hear a lot of left-leaning people complain about Fox News' bias, Ajax. But I know a lot of left leaning people, because I'm one of them. In my circles, Fox News is as irrelevant as Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter. But so is MSNBC and CNN. I haven't seen a single thread of useful information come from any of these sources in years - complete waste of time.

Bankrupting companies? You obviously have no idea how private equity firms work. Here's a hint: Company is in financial trouble, they seek help from outside investors.
