The Skimpy Santas collected $8,055 for The Play Ball! Foundation during the 13th annual Santa Speedo Run, making them one of the top fundraising teams. Lynn Julian broke her leg this year and has participated in the Santa Speedo run for 10 years. She decided not to let the injury stop her and took to the streets via pedicab.

The festive and high-spirited 1-mile Santa Speedo Run started 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lir Tavern, at 903 Boylston St., and then headed down Boylston to Berkeley, up Newbury to Gloucester and back to the tavern.
Proceeds will support the Play Ball Foundation, which funds after-school sports for Boston Public Schools.

The SS Run and the Skimpy Santas Team were a great addition to our Holiday Stroll on Newbury Street ...they brought lots of laughs, fun and Holiday Cheer! See you again next year!
