Sex Offender Among Two Men Arrested for Back Bay Station Fight

Neither faces charges in connection with the fight.

A fight between two men at Back Bay Station Wednesday night ended up with both getting arrested – but not for fighting.

The fight broke out in the lobby around 9:30 p.m. between an unregistered Level 3 sex offender and a man who had a warrant out for a probation violation, according to a report on boston.com.

Although neither man wanted to press charges for the fight, police arrested Steven Odom, 44, of Dorchester, for failure to register as a sex offender, and John Carpenter, 46, of Boston, on the warrant for violating probation related to his conviction on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and trespassing.
