Governor Deval Patrick won't run again, and Lt. Gov. Tim Murray wants the job. So do Treasurer Steve Grossman and 2010 Republican candidate Charlie Baker. Who do you think should run for governor?
Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray could hold out any longer. On Thursday, he told the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce he'd like to be governor, according to WBUR.
Mind you, he didn't say he would run, just that he wants to be governor. With the election two years away, starting an official campaign now would be a bit premature.
But Murray's not alone. Governor Deval Patrick has said he will not run in 2014, leaving the door open for Murray and a host of other suitors to the office. State treasurer Steve Grossman and 2010 Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Baker have also expressed interest in a run in 2014. And it wasn't so long ago that Scott Brown was greeted with shouts of "Governor!" during is concession speech.
Who do you think should run for governor? Is there someone out of the box you think would make a great leader of the commonwealth? Or do you want one of these Massachusetts heavyweights to square off for the corner office? Tell us in the comments below.

Tom O'Neil should toss his hat in the ring. He does lots behind the scenes with his Beacon Hill/Capitol Hill Consultancy and is well qualifiied as a high profile Democrat! Martha C. was much maligned, but she is a fine public servant who should run as a Dem Gov., who cares if she didn't have her facts straight about that bloatmeister looser shilling and isn't all warm and fuzzy, she's a pro and a great public servant. Maybe Joe P. K II will step-up again? Come on Dems roll out and get behind the best candidate possible!!! And let's not forget we may have to float someone to replace Kerry in the Senate, Tom O'Neil would be good for that job too??!!!!

Former governor Bill Weld should run again, or he should run for the senate seat if Kerry gets appointed as Sec'y of Defense or State.

I'd like to see Steve Grossman run. The guy understands what works to boost the economy. Heard him speak and was really impressed with him. He'd get my vote.

Anyone but Brown. We have to keep him out of Politics or let him return to the State Senate.

Can anyone tell me where I can sign up for one of those "welcome packages" that our President Obama is now giving out to the illegals???
What don't people understand about"illegal"
I really don't understand what the governor and the president are thinking, but then again...
I should just say thank you to all who voted for this.

On USA.gov
It gives directions on how to get all this if you are an illegal immigrant, I think I will change my status from American to an "illegal immigrant" and quit my job and live off this program.

If no one else will say it, I will: give it a rest. Obviously no one took your bait. Have a good one.
