Firefighters have ordered an evacuation of the Back Bay Hilton as they battle a three-alarm fire in an adjoining parking garage. 

The fire may be in an electrical room according to tweets by the Boston Fire Department. NSTAR has been contacted and is en route, according to the Twitter updates. There is heavy smoke in the area, which may be coming from transformers.

Boston Police have asked commuters and others avoid the area as emergency crews continue to fight the fire and escort hotel workers and patrons to safety.
