Water Shutdown Wednesday on Newbury Street

A temporary water shutdown has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 8, 2012, from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m on Dartmouth Street between Commonwealth Avenue and Boylston Street.

The following is a press release on behalf of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission:

A temporary water shutdown has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 8, 2012, from 12:01 AM to 5:00 AM on Dartmouth Street between Commonwealth Avenue and Boylston Street. This shutdown is necessary to install new gate valves on Dartmouth Street at the intersection of Newbury Street.

The shutdown has been coordinated with individual abutters who will be affected by it. If a project representative has not visited you, we do not anticipate that you will be affected. If you do lose water unexpectedly during this timeframe, please visit the work site to let the resident engineer know or call BWSC’s 24/7 emergency number at 617-989-7000.

If you have questions or concerns about the work, please contact Steve Johnson, BWSC’s Project Engineer, at 617-989-7453.
