The New England Friends of Bosnia-Herzegovina will host Bosnian Born, an art exhibition that celebrates creativity, perseverance and survival of the human spirit through art, film, photography, design and fashion.
The exhibit will showcase 25 acclaimed artists born in Bosnia, but who now live across the Balkans, Middle East, Europe, and the United States. Their work reflects their Bosnian heritage, reinterpreted in relation to their globalized experiences during the war, their new host countries, and Bosnia’s changing context.
This exhibit features artistic expressions as vivid examples of how the medium of art encourages new fusions and a fluid sharing across geographic and ethnic boundaries. The Bosnian Art Exhibition is clear proof of the resilience and strength of Bosnian-Herzegovinian people..
