More About Fairmont Copley Plaza
Coffered ceilings with gilt rosettes, exquisite marble pilasters, tall Corinthian columns - these are just a few of the eye-catching details greeting travelers inside the Fairmont Copley Plaza situated on Boston's famous Copley Square. Distinguished by its famous red awnings, there are actually three entrances to the hotel, all leading guests to the grandeur of the main lobby where glowing crystal chandeliers illuminate immaculate mirrored walls and large romantic paintings. Inside is a restaurant and bar called the Oak Room, as well as a designer fashion boutique curated by Denise Hajjar. Named in honor of the American painter, John Singleton Copley, the hotel first opened in 1912 and has hosted countless dignitaries and celebrities from around the world.
