The Copley Society of Art is proud to host a juried member’s exhibition of thrilling interpretations of the sea, titled Distant Shores.
This fall’s juried exhibition, Distant Shores, displays a wide range of works that go beyond the standard Maritime subject and media. The featured works range from large oil paintings of yachts and sailboats to abstract watercolors of the water, photographs of the Antarctic and Caribbean, even including alabaster and bronze sculptures of sea creatures. The juror for this exhibition was distinguished Marine Art Fellow Russ Kramer. Considered to be one of the country’s leading marine artists, Kramer is also the current President of the American Society of Marine Artists.

More About Copley Society of Art
Copley Society of Art exists as a non-profit organizaton to support the multitude of artists ranging from students to famous veterans. Since its estabishment in 1879, it now "represents over 500 living artist members." There are two floors filled with mini exihibits of different artists about every week and the styles differ from "realists to contemporary and abstract painters, photographers, scultpors and printmakers."
