Rooter To Tooter: Head To Tail At Home With Matt Jennings
Boston Center for Adult Education, 122 Arlington St, Boston, MA | Get Directions »
$60.00
Nothing will be left behind, not even the leftovers during an evening of culinary inspiration with celebrity chef Matt Jennings!
Join the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) for Rooter to Tooter, a class dedicated to head-to-tail cuisine, on Tuesday, July 17th, 2012.
Chef Matt Jennings, James Beard Nominee for Best Chef Northeast and three time winner of Boston's Cochon 555, a national competition challenging chefs to create five meals from one pig, will teach students how to cut and slice their way through an entire hog breakdown.
From 6:00PM to 9:00PM participants will not only have the opportunity to learn the chef's tricks and techniques but Jennings will show students how to create delicious recipes using all possible cuts of meat from the entire hog. After the breakdown, students will become guests as they snack on an 'al fresco' style grilled Korean pork belly, snout, strawberry & spinach salad and crispy salt & vinegar pig skin. All are welcome and encouraged to take home any leftover food!
Matt Jennings is the executive chef and co-owner at Farmstead and La Laiterie, both located in Providence, RI. He was named Food & Wine Magazine's "40 Under 40 Big Thinkers" and was voted one of Mother Nature Network's "Most Sustainable Chefs." It is no surprise that Jennings is a dedicated foodie, as he has traveled all over the world exploring cuisine and following his passion for food wherever it takes him.
All possible culinary routes will be explored as students are shown a variety of skills to show off just in time for barbeque season! Take advantage of this opportunity to be a student and guest, all in one night! To register for this class please call 617-267-4430 or visit www.bcae.org.
