Affordable Housing Offered in Historic Back Bay Home

The Connie Worcester House in the Back Bay celebrated its grand opening after the completion of recent renovations. The historic house, owned and managed by the nonprofit organization Caritas Communities, is the only licensed lodging in the Back Bay to guarantee affordable housing for the neighborhood’s working poor.

Longtime friends of the late Connie Worcester Rev. Tom Kennedy and Gene Miller teamed up with Caritas, state and city officials to continue her legacy of caring for the elderly and impoverished. Among those in attendance were Helen Corcoran, the wife of Caritas founder P. Leo Corcoran and Rev. Gurdon Brewster.
