Boston Celtics At Skywalk Observatory

Top of the Hub's Skywalk Observatory hosted players, staff and cheerleaders from the Boston Celtics as they brought a touch of holiday cheer to young patients from Franciscan Hospital for Children and Boston Medical Center.

Celtics CEO and Co-owner Wyc Grousbeck and his wife Corinne stopped by along with players Rajon Rondo, Phil Pressey (shooting baskets with Djouvany Lucien, above), Jordan Crawford, MarShon Brooks and Jared Sullinger who played games with the youngsters and signed autographs.

The kids, who feasted on a burgers-to-ice-cream-cones buffet provided by Top of the Hub, were transported to the Skywalk in grand style courtesy of Old Town Trolley Tours.  Face painting was handled by big-hearted volunteer artists from WHERE Magazine, with entertainment by the Hearts & Noses Hospital Clown TroupeSanta and Mrs. Claus made sure each child received special gifts while Lucky The Leprechaun impressed one and all by soaring through the air, doing back flips in the middle of the party.

Rajon Rondo commented,  “Every year I look forward to this event. It's an honor to be able to spend time with these patients.  Hopefully we were able to bring some holiday cheer to them.”  Photo: Boston Celtics-Brian Babineau.
