New Design For Back Bay Trinity Place Tower Proposed

Developers unveiled a new plan this week for a 33-story tower at 40 Trinity Place near the Hancock Tower in Back Bay.

The plan includes a 227-room hotel, 115 modern condominiums and three restaurants.

Hoteliers Gary and Jeffrey Saunders and developer Jordan Warshaw, who have teamed up to form Trinity Stuart LLC, submitted the plan to the Boston Redevelopment Authority this week, saying in a statement the building is "designed to enliven an uncharacteristically drab block of the otherwise lively Back Bay."

Mandela Day Celebrated in Back Bay Church

The Old South Church on Boylston Street in Back Bay played host Thursday to a celebration of Mandela Day, the 95th birthday of former South African President Nelson Mandela, where his spirit of giving and community was honored.

Police Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery at Boylston Street Bank

Police are still searching for a man suspected of robbing a Citizen's Bank in Back Bay.

Around 3:44 p.m., Boston police received a report of an armed robbery at 426 Boylston St. in Back Bay.
