Boston's fast food workers are scheduled to rally near Boston Common Thursday and strike for higher wages outside several establishments along Tremont Street.
There are demonstrations taking place throughout the city Thursday, including near Copley Square's fast food restaurants early in the morning. Several pictures of the Back Bay strike were posted on Twitter here and here.
According to a statement from organizing group Mass Uniting, workers are walking off their jobs Thursday "calling for $15 an hour and the right to form a union without retaliation or unfair labor practices."
Rallying workers will meet Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Boston Common bandstand before moving to rally outside the McDonald's and later the Burger King on Tremont Street.
