Local Businesses Participate in 'Back Bay Night Out' Sept. 12

Back Bay on Display set to promote the local neighborhood businesses throughout the fall and winter months.

The Back Bay Association, in collaboration with Boston magazine, are partnering to present "Back Bay on Display" this fall with two community-wide events to attract visitors to local businesses, with one coming up next week.

"Back Bay Night Out" will take place Thursday, Sept. 12 and according to Back Bay on Display, local businesses will offer special in-store activities, discounts and entertainment.

“This year, more than ever, it’s so important that we get out and support our Back Bay businesses,” said Mayor Thomas M. Menino in a statement. “This neighborhood has shown tremendous resilience and strength, and I know that this holiday season it will be vibrant as ever with visitors, shoppers and diners, alike, flocking to the heart of our City.”

Later, during the holiday season, Back Bay on Display will host "Back Bay Holly-Days: Windows on Display" each Tuesday night from Nov. 19 through Dec. 17. This will be a window-display competition throughout the holiday season where businesses are encouraged to deck out their windows in holiday decor.

According to Back Bay on Display, "businesses will host in-store events and offer weekly promotions and experiences to expand the draw for people to venture to the Back Bay and vote on their favorite decorations."
