NEEDHAM and DORCHESTER, MA, ISSUED JANUARY 24, 2014…Jack Doherty, President and founder of College Hype (www.collegehype.com), a company that has provided organizations with quality custom apparel and school uniforms since 1987, was a guest this week on “Radio Entrepreneurs,” where he talked about the value of branding businesses, communities and schools through the use of embroidered and screen printed uniforms and other apparel.

Radio Entrepreneurs interviews can be heard nightly from 6 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, on WBNW 1120 AM, WPLM 1390 AM, and WESO 970 AM. Radio Entrepreneurs shares the stories of entrepreneurs in the interest of giving more exposure to innovative and fast moving companies while creating a knowledge pool for the enrichment of the entrepreneurial community around the world. The show is broadcast daily and the characters in the interviews are entrepreneurs from various backgrounds, all supported by the Money Matters radio staff, social media, the Mage team, and the show’s host, Jeffrey Davis. The conversation is their story: the story of who they are and how they became an entrepreneur. To learn more about Radio Entrepreneurs, please visit www.radioentrepreneurs.com. Studios are at 144 Gould Street, Needham, MA.

Doherty spoke with host Jeffrey Davis about work that College Hype has done to brand communities, including the “Dorchester Strong” apparel line, and “All Roads Lead to Boston.” In particular, Boston’s new Mayor, Marty Walsh, has worn a jacket with this logo. College Hype provides online stores for a number of area schools and for celebrities, including the new “Wahlburgers” Reality show.

“People become a walking billboard for their school, organization or just to foster community pride,” said Doherty, who told his hosts that he began the business originally during his college days at Westfield State. “Apparel is a very strong and popular way to build brand awareness,” he said.

He continued, “It was a great opportunity to be on Radio Entrepreneurs, and I thank the team for giving us the chance to come on the show and tell our story.”
