Frugal Family: Save Time and Money with Homemade Freezer Food

Make your own meals that can be frozen and microwaved for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner on the run.

One of the easiest and best ways to cut down on expenses is by eating out less, buying less prepared convenience foods at the grocery, and eating meals from scratch in your own home. But we all know that in reality, sometimes it just isn’t feasible to start from scratch.

Or is it?

A fantastic and very frugal method of feeding your family is through meals that you prepare yourself and store in the freezer. All sorts of delicious food can be made ahead of time, such as on the weekends, and stored in freezer bags until you are ready to put it in the microwave and enjoy. To make it even easier, prepare a large quantity of food and it will take a longer time to eat through your stash.
