Boston Police charged one man with disorderly conduct and another with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on Sunday, December 16 at 12:56 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of an assault and battery in progress at 90 Exeter Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they reportedly observed one of the men screaming at restaurant staff members on the sidewalk. As officers approached the man, he reportedly took off in a fail attempt to elude the officers. The man was caught, handcuffed and placed into the patrol wagon.
Restaurant employees told the police that the man refused to leave the restaurant and became increasingly loud and confrontational with employees and patrons alike.
When officers entered the restaurant, they found the second suspect on the floor, being restrained by restaurant staffers. A staff member told police that while escorting the suspect out of the premises for fighting, the suspect turned violent and punched him in the face. Officers observed a red mark on the staff members face. The suspect was put in handcuffs and placed in the patrol wagon.
Officers were approached by a victim, who stated that the suspect struck him on the hand with a bottle. Officers observed a large cut on the man’s hand. EMS arrived on the scene to tend to the victim’s wound.
Officers were approached by another victim, who stated that the suspect had struck him in the face with a bottle. Officers observed a large bruise on the right side of the man’s face.
Shawn Stoodly of 68 East Broadway Street, Salem, New Hampshire was charged with disorderly conduct.
Adam Deacy of 34 Linden Street, Allston, MA was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
