Can Whitey Bulger Get a Fair Trial in Boston?

Should the presiding judge in the James "Whitey" Bulger case recuse himself or be removed from the case? That's the argument Bulger's legal team made to an appeals court Tuesday, saying Judge Richard Stearns' time as a prosecutor overlapped with Bulger's time as an FBI informant. 

According to boston.com, Stearns has said he had no knowledge of the Bulger investigation while he served as a prosecutor. He also said he was not aware of any immunity deal in place for Bulger. That's a key defensive claim, and it is hotly disputed by the prosecution.
