$1.74 Million Raised for Berklee Music

And more to know today, Oct. 22.

1. Nearly $2 Million Raised: About 900 guests filled the Westin Copley Place to raise a record $1.74 million benefitting the Berklee City Music Program on Oct. 13. The evening was packed with musical performances by The Family Stone, multi-platinum Israeli rock icon David Broza, and Berklee City Music student, 15-year old Quinton Ribeiro.

2. Monday Night Film Series: Remembering World War II: The BPL is hosting Patton from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

3. Insubordinate Spirit: Come hear the story of Elizabeth Winthrop Feake Hallett at the Massachusetts Historical Society. Her first husband drowned, her second went insane, and the Puritans wanted her dead for marrying her third.

4. In Your Face: Mario Testino’s exhibit will be at the Museum of Fine Arts until Feb. 3.

5. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day with a high in the mid-60s. The evening will cool off to the 40s.
