Five Things: New Restoration Hardware Won't Have Restaurant

1. No Restoration Hardware Restaurant: The company has scrapped plans to open a restaurant at its new digs in the Back Bay, the former Museum of Natural History building, at 234 Berkeley St., the Boston Herald reports.
2. What's Open: Today is Columbus Day, so most government offices will be closed. Here's a handy list of what's open and closed today.
3. MFA Open: The Museum of Fine Arts' Fall Open House is today from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. General admission is free.
