Gillette to Host National Kissing Experiment at the Pru Today

Experiment seeks to answer question: "Could stubble be the trouble?"

Gillette will be conducting what it calls a live national kissing experiment in kissing today at the Prudential Center, with the help of Bruin's star Shawn Thornton.

"Research shows that people are kissing less than ever and that one in three women has avoided kissing a guy because he had facial hair," Gillette said in a press release. "With Valentine’s Day on the horizon and signs showing that the kiss may be on the decline, Gillette is asking couples across America to help determine if stubble could be the trouble."

To find out, Gillette is asking Boston couples to smooch with one partner unshaven, then for the prickly participant to shave and pucker up again. Afterward, the couple will take a brief survey. (Anyone unable to attend in-person can conduct the experiment online at kissandtellus.com. National results will be announced on Valentine’s Day.)
