New Years Eve Fight Leads to an Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not imply a conviction.

Officers observed a large fight break out in front of the Citizen’s Bank at 607 Boylston Street at about 12:10 a.m. on January 1.

Officers went to break up the brawl, which included about four or five men. A suspect was ordered to leave the area immediately while officers attended to an injured man who was lying in the lobby of the Citizen’s Bank.

At this point, the aforementioned suspect began fighting two other unknown men. The suspect appeared to be highly intoxicated and refused to leave when asked again. When an officer attempted to move the suspect out of the area, the suspect began pushing the officer. The officer attempted to arrest the suspect, but a struggle ensued. Other officers had to come to the arresting officer’s aid in order to detain the suspect.
