Officers Charge One in Hotel Brawl

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not imply conviction.

Officers responded to a report of a group of drunk people causing a disturbance in the lobby of the Sheraton Boston at 39 Dalton Street at 2:13 a.m. on January 13.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with hotel staff, who stated that two groups fought in the lobby and in the front driveway prior to police arrival. The hotel security said that one group had left the hotel in cars, while the other was outside on the sidewalk.

The security contacted the police for help in removing some more people from the lobby. While the officers were moving this group, a fight broke out on the eighth floor. While a few officers stayed in the lobby to monitor the group, officers went up to the eighth floor to break up the fight. While in the elevators, the officers could reportedly hear a loud commotion.
