For the second year in a row, a major storm may interrupt Halloween.
Hurricane Sandy is expected to make landfall on the East Coast. As of Friday morning, what looked like a direct hit on New England has shifted to a mid-Atlantic landfall. Still, meteorologists warn that Sandy's a massive storm with tropical force-strength winds emanating for hundreds of miles from her eye. Even a miss this far to the south could still mean monster surf conditions, wind, rain and flooding concerns along coastal Massachusetts.
Ask a fourth grader, of course, and they will mutter dejectedly about the inherent injustice of nature, which may deprive them of trick or treating for a second year. First Snowtober 2011, now this?
But as an adult, what are your plans? Are you still planning to hit the weekend parties? Taking the kids out on Tuesday? Or are you prepping for the storm and skipping the fun this year? Is that an overreaction? Tell us in the comments below.
