"A LIGHT THROUGH THE AGES" Celebration of Chanukah

A FESTIVE BACK BAY HOLIDAY TRADITION RETURNS ON DECEMBER 1st

Central Reform Temple invites everyone to join in a special celebration of the festival of lights.

Enjoy the famed Zamir Chorale of Boston, under the leadership of artistic director Joshua Jacobson in telling the timeless stories of Chanukah in traditional and contemporary holiday music.

This is the 5th Annual Boston presentation of "A Light Through The Ages" which will celebrate Chanukah in story, song and light.  This is a gift to the Boston Community from Central Reform Temple.

All are invited to join as our guests on Sunday, December 1 at 4:00 PM.

The original text of "A Light Through The Ages," written by Rabbi Howard Berman, was first performed more than 35 years ago in New York.  It chronicles the holiday through the ages – from its origins as a celebration of religious freedom more than 2,000 years ago – through darkness and moments of inspiring light and triumph.

"Coming in rare conjunction this year with that most American of holidays, Thanksgiving, Chanukah truly can and should be celebrated as an interfaith experience with our friends, family and neighbors in the community," Rabbi Berman said.  "We have attempted to take what has always been a family tradition, celebrated in the home, and bring it to our extended family here in the Back Bay and throughout Boston."

Everyone is welcome free of charge.
No reservations or tickets are required.
