Boston AMA: Mobile Influence - Business Strategies & Tactics for the Mobile Market

Is mobile becoming a power player in the business and consumer world? According to best-selling author Chuck Martin, you can look no further than the recent holiday season for the evidence:

  • This past Thanksgiving Holiday, $41 billion was spent on online shopping, with 25% of those sales coming from a mobile device.
  • For shoppers who braved the crowds, 1/3 used a smart phone to compare prices once inside the stores.
  • Major retailers such as Sears and Kmart have been completely re-tooling their mobile websites in order to prepare for the holiday shopping season (Source)

Join us on January 22, 2014 as Chuck illustrates the impact that mobile will have on the future of customer behavior, and how marketers will have to adjust their strategies in order to catch the eyes of our consumers.

Chuck Martin is a New York Times business best-selling author,
CEO of Mobile Future Institute, and the Editor of the MediaPost mCommerce Daily, where he writes the daily MobileShopTalk column. Martin has been a leading pioneer in the digital interactive marketplace for more than a decade.

Martin's new book, MOBILE INFLUENCE: The New Power of the Consumer, illustrates the impact mobile is going to have and the future of the market. The Mobile Shopping Life Cycle involves six stages, each thriving with opportunities for marketers to engage with m-powered consumers and to influence their choices. Some of the most innovative leaders in the mobile field share their experiences and success stories as the best way to employ mobile influence is demonstrated.
