Ciné-Club de l'Alliance: L'Enfant

Belgium’s
Dardenne brothers have become pillars of the raw, realistic French

cinema. For January's Ciné-Club de l'Alliance, we will present L’Enfant (The Child), which earned them the prestigious Palme d’Or at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival for Best Film.

The movie follows Bruno and Sonia, a young couple living off her

benefit and the thefts committed by his gang, who have a new source of

money: their newborn son.

This 2005, 100-minute film will be presented in its original version, with English subtitles.
