Copley Singers: Christmas Concert at St. Cecilia Church

The Copley Singers (Brian Jones, director) present their Annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 10 at 7 PM at St. Cecilia Church, 18 Belvidere Street in Boston.  The Copley Singers' wide-ranging program includes familiar Christmas carols in both traditional and new interesting arrangements, this year highlighting works from America, England, the West Indies and Australia.  The audience is invited to join in singing three carols, and the singers will mingle with the audience for several of the anthems and carols.  A gala reception will follow the St Cecilia's Concert on December 10.

St Cecilia Church is handicap-accessible, located at 18 Belvidere Street behind the Berklee Performance Center in Boston's Back Bay.  Admission to the concert is $20, $10 for students and seniors; children admitted FREE.  For further information, please call 617-536-4548 (St. Cecilia), or visit www.stceciliaboston.org.

Founded in 2006, The Copley Singers are a semi-professional and congenial group who perform several times a year.  Many of its members have sung at Trinity Church, Copley Square, Boston; the group performs at a high standard, informed by their great love of choral singing and their belief in its communicative power.  Under director Brian Jones, the group has presented concerts throughout New England; collaborated with the Harvard University Choral Scholars in the 2007 Easter Service at Harvard Memorial Church; and offered a hymn festival for the Organ Historical Society convention in Plymouth MA.  In 2009, The Copley Singers joined with the Ensemble Singers of Bermuda to perform a special concert for the 400th anniversary of the establishment of the Island.
