Civility in politics

Many commentators have said that this year's American Presidential campaign has been one of the most negative ever. Mud has been flung and fur has flown as candidates endeavored to improve their positions in the ratings. As the candidates and the voters approach voting day, prayer can help to lift the burden of antagonism and also of fear that the human values that are vital to all of us may in some way be lost, depending on how the election turns out.
