Trash Talkin’ Tailgate Grub with Boston Red Sox Chef Nookie

Chef Nookie Cooks Up Winning Game-Day Grub at the Boston Center for Adult Education

Trash talk is a part of any sporting event, and it can be fun to give, but hard to take. To make sure that students at the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) are not at the losing end of tailgate smack talk Chef Steve “Nookie” Postal, Executive Chef for the Boston Red Sox and a contestant on Bravo’s “Around the World in 80 Plates,” will dish up game day grub worthy of a winning reputation at “Trash Talkin’ Tailgate Grub.”

From 6:00PM to 9:00PM on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012, Chef Nookie will show students how to perfect their pre-game recipes to impress a crowd and win over fans even if they’re not rooting for the same team. Nookie’s career took off in 2001 when he opened Oleana with his mentor Ana Sortun, and he has worked in some of Boston’s best kitchens including Chez Henri and Casablanca, until becoming Executive Chef of the Boston Red Sox in 2006. He was a finalist on Bravo’s “Around the World in 80 Plates,” and came within one vote of winning the $150,000 prize.
