Community Corner

Garden Club to Hold Gala Event on June 4

Join the members of the Garden Club of the Back Bay, and your friends and neighbors, at the Twilight Garden Party. The Garden Club will hold its annual fundraiser at the Bulfinch designed third Harrison Gray Otis house, now the American Meteorological Society.  Most of our fundraising efforts go to the planting and caring of Back Bay street trees.  In addition, we provide grants to other organizations that work to preserve and protect Boston's green spaces and provide educational opportunities to the children of Boston.

Every year an outstanding member of the Community is honored, for their contribution to greening and maintaining our neighborhood, with the Club's Magnolia Award.  This year's recipient is Antonia Pollak, former Boston Parks and Recreation Commissioner.

The gala event will include live music, hors d'oeuvre, a selection of drinks, numerous and sometimes extravagant floral arrangements by members, as well as lively company from around the Back bay and Boston. The twilight Garden party will be held on Wednesday, June 4 at 45 Beacon St. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.  For more information and to buy tickets, please visit www.gardenclubbackbay.org
